warm weather (we can dream anyway!) can mean extra sweating and extra smelling for some of us! In winter i like to use my homemade deodorant made up of coconut oil, kaolin clay, and essential oils, which works swimmingly. however, in the warmer weather i have coconut oil too greasy than usual when used as deodorant and the deodorant less effective. I have tried adding Shea Butter and other things but nothing made it better sooooo.....
here’s a very easy DIY spray deodorant that’s anti-inflammatory (if you shave your underarms), anti-bacterial, and anti-stink.
Here's What you need:
- Himalayan pink salt Powder
- witch hazel
- Mature Kombucha (great for using up Kombucha that you have brewed for too long)
- essential oil(s) of your choice
Here's how to make it.
In a small glass bowl or cup, add 1/2 tablespoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of mature Kombucha, 5 tablespoons witch hazel, and 5-8 drops of an essential oil of your choice.
mix well until salt is dissolved.
put into spray container. apply to underarms and enjoy!
How easy is that. I personally find that i need to apply twice (so i spray some on, let it dry and then spray some more). I don't usually need to re-apply during the day.
In regards to the essential oils to use, really it is a personal preference. I like to add Tea Tree and Peppermint but that is just a personal preference.
